The first cleanse, explained
A dry-skin melt for makeup and SPF: work Original balm into oil, add water to turn it milky, rinse, then follow with a simple second cleanser.
Three states. One first cleanse.
Start with dry hands and dry skin. Warm a small, almond-sized amount between your palms.
Massage gently over the face. The balm softens into an oil that helps loosen makeup and sunscreen.
Add water with your fingertips and keep massaging gently. The oil emulsifies into a milky texture; rinse away or remove with a warm damp cloth.
Then use your usual gentle second cleanser. These are three stages of the same Original balm, not three separate products.
When it earns a step—and when to skip it
Makeup and persistent SPF are the reason to reach for a first cleanse. On bare-skin days, a single suitable cleanser may be enough. Keep the massage comfortable; extra rubbing is not extra value.
